Meet the Veterinarian

Heather E. Nemanic, DVM

Since a young age I have had a profound interest in horses and other animals. I attended Salt Lake Community College and Utah State University for my undergraduate work, and attended Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine for my veterinary education. After college I worked in Logan Utah for 5 years at a mixed animal practice which also had some interest in complementary medicine. In 2010 I attended the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society acupuncture course in San Antonio, Texas. My interest in acupuncture came about through working with Buzz Marden DVM in Salt Lake as a technician during my undergraduate studies, and being able to see Dr Jeff Monroe DVM treat a few cases.

My goals are to provide acupuncture and dentistry services to build a practice with people having similar interests. I would like to further add herbal medicine, and chiropractic to my practice and eventually provide full equine ambulatory care such as vaccines, lameness, reproductive, and emergency medicine.

I enjoy endurance racing, trail riding, and am a member of the Parelli club. I have 2 horses, one dog and 2 cats. Current memberships include the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

I am available by phone or email and would be happy to set up an appointment with you!
